“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us”

- Gandalf

I acknowledge I am practicing on the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish, Suquamish, and Coastal Salish people past and present, and honor with gratitude the land itself and the Duwamish Tribe. In this acknowledgement, I name my own positionality as a white settler on unceded territory after the breaking of the Treaty of Point Elliott in 1855. In recognition of this positionality, I pay monthly Real Rent Duwamish.

About me

I’m a cisgender white man with a thoughtful and expansive relationship to gender and sexuality. I aim to bring curiosity, humility, and openness into my work with clients.

I’m a geek. I love stories in all forms, from movies and video games to books and tabletop games. I also enjoy walking, hiking, camping, and singing. I enjoy hearing about your special interests and often weave them into therapy to make the work more meaningful and engaging.

I love working with people from a wide range of identities and backgrounds. I see each person as having a unique constellation of experiences, identities, and strengths, and I value getting to know what makes you you. I have particular experience working with people who identify as neurodivergent, queer, kinky, or polyamorous, and I strive to create a space that is affirming, nonjudgmental, and grounded in respect for your lived experience.

I see many of the struggles people bring to therapy as coming from different parts of themselves that are trying, in their own ways, to help or protect. In our work together, you can expect a collaborative and grounded approach, where we move at your pace while gently exploring the different parts of you and what they carry.

I practice as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (license SC61446009) under the supervision of Stuart Brewster, LICSW (license LW60686077). I am committed to ongoing learning and growth, and regularly engage in continued training to support the quality of care I provide.

Experience and Trainings

I received my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington. During my training, I completed an internship as a peer counselor in a college neurodiversity support program, where I began developing my approach to affirming and strengths-based care.

Following graduation, I worked in a community mental health setting, providing therapy to adults across a wide range of backgrounds and identities. Many of the people I worked with identified as LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, or non-monogamous, and this experience continues to inform my commitment to inclusive, client-centered care.

After that, I began my private practice, where I continue to deepen my work with individuals seeking a thoughtful, affirming, and experiential approach to therapy.

My post-graduate training includes:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 1

  • IFS with Neurodivergent Clients

  • Becoming a Neurodivergent-Affirming Clinician

  • Professional Ecotherapy Program, Level 1

  • Motivational Interviewing

I regularly engage in ongoing clinical training, consultation, and continuing education to support my ongoing growth as a therapist.
